The International is the largest event on the Dota 2 calendar year, hosted by Valve and having a prize pool currently exceeding 5 million dollars. The qualifiers are played online and separated into 4 regions EU/US/SEA/CN and from each of these regions 2 teams qualify to travel to TI4 with the 1st team having a direct spot in the tournament and the runner-up having to play in a pre tournament qualifier.
