Now Scalebound has been cancelled, we feel the urge to play it even more keenly. Any game by Hideki Kamiya and Platinum Games is worth attention and Scalebound's blend of on-foot and on lizard combat looked an awful lot of fun. Here's why you should be sad Scalebound got canned. The reasons Scalebound's cancellation is such a shame range from the mere fact that big budget games from Platinum are hard to come by to Xbox's meagre-looking line-up of exclusives for 2017.

Hopefully both those things will be remedied in the not too distant future, but right now it's tough to see one of our most anticipated games of 2017 disappear down the tubes. Almost as tough as it is to see Kamiya being polite on Twitter.
