What's the one thing more annoying than Claptrap? Two Claptraps. That is the regrettable entourage with which I wound up in this co-op session in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. The mobile toaster's special ability in particular is enough to have you twisting your controller in half.

Called vaulthunter.exe, this special ability is a randomised buff that affects the entire group and although each buff has its advantages, there are also disadvantages designed to be super irritating. Hit the jump to watch us struggle through the chaos in Xbox 360 gameplay.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel might be more spin-off than a full-blown series instalment, built as it is by 2K Australia instead of Borderlands creator Gearbox, but there is plenty of the series' trademark personality and humour in there. The main difference is that much more of it is delivered in Australian accents of varying quality.

Low gravity, jump pads and a boost pack shake up Borderlands combat up in a way that might make it difficult to return to fully grounded combat when Borderlands 3 arrive on the newer consoles, but otherwise Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is very much more of the same loot swiping and bullet pumping. If you're cool with that, then jump right in.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is out on Xbox 360 and PS3 from October 14 2014.
