For Watchdogs Legion I was roped in by the concept. The truth is... it sounded like something that would break new ground, but the reality... despite having one of the better marketing pitches in 2020, the game fails to capitalize on that concept.

My sadness is born of an inability to suspend disbelief and operate in this highly political open world sim without being ripped out of the lore by inconsistencies, bad lip sync, repetitive and comedic animations... or other undesirable factors.

Sadly, the game is mediocre at best and it completely loses sight of the value that character attachment and invested emotions typically bring.
