Vampyr is the latest game from developers Dontnod Entertainment – the people who brought you Life is Strange and Remember Me. This time, they’re diving into the world of 1918 London – a city consumed by the Spanish Flu, with a plot that follows a doctor turned vampire named Jonathan Reid. Rather than the story consisting of a vampire hungry for blood, Reid is more concerned with saving people. You have the option to play through the whole game without killing anybody to satisfy your bloodthirst, although some boss battles are mandatory in this semi-open world game. The game itself is inspired by a whole lot – the paintings of Phil Hale, history books concerning White Chapel, the London Docks and the Isle of Dogs, and much much more. So naturally, there’s a few great Easter Eggs and references that have popped up.
