Free MMORPGs Genuinely Worth Playing in February 2022 - What MMO Should You Play?

The sad reality is we all want a truly free quality MMORPG like FFXIV... but end up with something like DK Online. And no matter how desperately we look, no matter how many MMOs we sift through, we ultimately end up disappointed. Just like when you finally get a girlfriend and realize she likes pineapple on her pizza. What kind of monster likes pineapple on their pizza?

Now I wanted to keep the total number of MMOs included each month to a maximum of 5. On the one hand, that makes it easier for me, as I don't have to talk about 120 games over the course of the year. And on the other hand... I don't think there are 120 free MMOs available to play if we disregard browser and mobile games.
I do want to note that I made every attempt to keep every MMO included in this list to a different sub-genre. Anime, scifi, fantasy. Action, tab-target, hybrid.
I feel like in a list like this - in future lists each month, keeping games as varied as possible will make it easier to cater to as large a number of potential viewers as possible.
