Learn how to play Pokémon TCG by watching us play Pokémon TCG and it's all presented by The Pokémon Company International. In this Pokémon TCG tutorial, Joshua Yehl and Frosted Caribou will teach you how to play the Pokémon TCG and discuss the game's evolution from the '90s to now, by playing two rounds, kickstarting your way into playing the Pokémon trading card game.
The first round will be a Retro Round, playing with retro Pokémon cards from the '90s (Base Set and Jungle Set) using the Haymaker deck, a top tier deck from the '90s that includes Hitmonchan, Scyther, and Electabuzz.
The second round will be Standard Format (2019 - 2021), where we will be playing with modern cards and rules. Standard Format includes a lot more strategy and versatility in Pokémon cards and Trainer cards that can give you a more diverse gaming experience.
