Between 2013's Tomb Raider and sequel Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara has come to terms with killing or being killed, probably, and embraced her destiny as the world's most violent archaeology graduate.

Where once there was angsty guilt and falling excitingly off things, now there is a deeper weapon crafting system, special arrow types and also falling excitingly off things.

Lara's Siberian rampage is leavened with puzzley challenge tombs and bits where you learn languages and decipher inscriptions, and we're curious to see how far Rise of the Tomb Raider takes its systems-driven wilderness survival this time. We're not looking for The Long Dark's grim realism but are secretly keen to indulge our Bear Grylls-style survival fantasy.
