Awards
Confederate: You weren't out to hunt scalps for personal glory, but focused on helping the team win the match. You dealt damage where it was most needed, and didn't hang around to claim the kill shot. You harassed the enemy and dished out damage. In this category, we are especially interested in tankers who ended up low in the list, but made the most of the situation. Great artillery play also counts, as dealing maximum damage is often more important than finishing off wounded stragglers.
Scout: You focused on providing tactical information to team, and racking up impressive amounts of spotting damage. The Scout of the Week does exactly that, and in a way that’s exciting and fun. Just hiding in the perfect bush for the whole game may get you the points, but it’s probably pretty boring to watch.
Brothers in Arms: This is the category for excelling as a platoon. Make sure to include links to replays from every member of your platoon. There is no I in team, and you will all share the glory. We want to see moments of amazing teamwork, with coordination and skill resulting in victory on the battlefield.
Sniper: Were you the unseen terror? Was your slogan “Reach out and touch someone”? This category celebrates the essence of the Tank Sniper award, dealing damage from afar. A sniper doesn't need to see the whites of their eyes to land the kill shot. When the sniper is on the job, they never even see it coming.
Armored Fist: The category for excelling in a Team Battle. While completely stomping an inferior team may get you the in-game medal, we’re looking for something more than that. We’re looking for replays of tense and exciting team battles, or ones where something particularly awesome happens.
Steel Wall: If you blocked the path of the enemy, forced them to focus on you, or simply used your armor effectively then you are Steel Wall material! Just remember that bouncing ton of damage from lower tier opponents isn’t particularly impressive . Once again, you may qualify even if you don’t quite manage to live through the ordeal as what matters is the spirit, not the letter of the achievement. If it’s awesome, it totally counts!
Top Gun: This is the category for Rambo, and it’s all about you. A game where you fought alone, or your platoon mates did nothing. This is the category for dishing out damage and wrecking machinery! Remember, we aren’t impressed by a top tier heavy tank dismantling smaller machines, or you scoring a bunch of last-hit kills. It should be you who did the work! You blasted all those tanks to bits, and carried the game. Cry havoc, and send in the replay!
Defender: The enemy were pushing into the allied base, and you were the only thing standing in their way! You stopped their cap attempt, bought time for your team to finish their capture, or to hurry back and help you defend. Did you protect the artillery, as well as the capture zone? Maybe you fought one against six in an epic last stand? Even if you faced them outside the circle and didn’t technically qualify for the in-game medal, send it in. If the replay captures the essence of the Defender, we want to see it!
Invader: The other side of the coin to Defender. Take a small tank, and put pressure on the enemy. Slip between the lines and hunt down their artillery. Put the pressure on by starting a solo capture, forcing them to hesitate and turn back to deal with you. This category rewards an exciting game, where the key to victory was boldly putting pressure on the enemy base.
Crucial Contribution: What should you do when the game seems to have gone beyond any of the categories above? Did you qualify for several awards, or maybe not quite for any of them, but you feel that the game was overall amazing? If you feel you were the crucial element, the tanker of the hour, this could be your medal. Let’s see some spectacular play
