It's official. True Detective's first season, which was submitted by HBO as in the drama category and not the miniseries category, will be taking on Breaking Bad's final eight episodes at this year's Emmy awards ceremony. Likewise, Bryan Cranston will throw down against both Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, as both lead detectives received lead actor nominations.
