Witness fresh new gameplay from Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition, a new PS4/Xbox One/PC version of the pen and paper RPG-style, turn-based combat experience that first came to the PC back in 2014.

Divinity Original Sin: Enhanced Edition comes out on PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2015. Players who already own the game on PC will received Enhanced Edition for free.

Enhanced Edition comes with a bundle of additions and tweaks; you'll find some key changes in the gameplay video above, captured on PS4 because that's what the developer brought along to games industry convention Gamescom 2015.

Among the new and notable items in Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition:

1. Local splitscreen co-op
Divinity Original Sin's new edition adds couch co-op with dynamic splitscreening. It's still a game based on a four-character party, but in the new co-op mode two players can divvy up the party between them and play together or go their separate ways, with one player in a dungeon in turn-based combat while the other fiddles with their inventory miles away, for instance (or you could always play online with another player).

For Xbox One players, there's also cross-platform play with Windows 10 players, you lucky people.

2. Wands
Wands are new. Hurray for wands!

3. Dual wielding
Dual wielding is also new! With wands, daggers or what have you. See the rogue in the gameplay above, dual wielding those blades? He couldn't have done that in the 2014 PC version of Divinity.

4. Backstab area
Speaking of stabbing, the all-important backstab-enabling area behind a baddie is now demarcated on the ground with some new handy markings. You're welcome, rogues.

5. Voiced dialogue
Divinity Enhanced Edition strengthens story moments from the original game, bolstering the game's storytelling partly with the help of 80,000 lines of all-new voiced dialogue.

6. Improved magic pockets
A new and improved version of the system for transferring items between party characters, or 'magic pockets', makes teleporting items between characters a snap. See above for magic shovel transference.

7. Tactician moce
The developers of Divinity Original Sin have been learning the the tricks and tactics used by players to defeat the enemies in the original game, and taught them all to the AI-controlled enemies in Enhanced Edition.

This makes the enemies tougher and smarter, which makes the new 'tactician mode' ideal for hardcore Divinity fans ready for ramping up the challenge.
