Chrono Odyssey First Impressions "Is It Worth Playing?"

Chrono Odyssey is an upcoming open world MMORPG that many people had high expectations for, the reason for this hype is that in the games trailers it presented itself as a true next gen MMO with what appeared to be graphics that looked up there as best in genre.
In 2025 the game has had a few closed playtests with a select few content creators, I was invited but with them only having servers in North America the ping was unplayable from my location in Asia, so I didn’t play longer than a few minutes.
Recently however, the game had its first non NDA playtest and I was able to finally try Chrono Odyssey for the first time with good ping. Apparently though this playtest was done with an older build of the game, their end of 2024 build, according to other content creators there’s a newer internal build that’s much better. Honestly, I find this super annoying because 1: it makes any feedback players give for this test completely pointless and 2: If the game isn’t looking good then people will instantly use this internal build as copium that all of the game’s issues will be fixed.
Regardless In this video you’ll see my first impressions of Chrono Odyssey from its playtest, judging it purely from what I played, not some speculative internal build that we know nothing about.

If you’re strong enough, you might even be able to clear these formidable dungeons and raids on your own. You can also look forward to getting rewards for clearing dungeons, group dungeons, and PvP content.

Meaningful Harvesting and Crafting
Progress and improve the in-game economy by participating in lucrative activities within Chrono Odyssey's vast open world. This includes harvesting, logging, mining, and skinning. You can craft valuable equipment and consumables by acquiring resources from these activities. Additionally, these gameplay elements will foster social interaction and a sense of community, as you engage in trade and collaboration with other players.

Character Customization
Customize your character and express your individuality. Characters can be personalized with a wide range of options, including gender, body types, facial features, hairstyles, makeup, scars, and much more - all up to your unique preferences with a high degree of freedom.
