The push towards 70 dollar Triple A titles has been propped up and defended for quite some time. The idea is defunct... the concept is provably false... but that effort has not subsided.

Now... during an economic downturn and crisis that has not even been fully realized yet, publisher forge ahead with a price hike from 60 to 70 dollars and an international effect of that which will see many countries paying almost 100 dollars for new releases while joblessness and unemployment soar.
