Fallout 4 DLC: How to Start Automatron DLC in Fallout 4

Fallout 4 DLC Automatron is available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Here's how to start it and how to build your first robot workbench. But first things first, you'll need to be level 15 or above, so load a suitable save game, or level up to 15, pronto. Don't worry, we'll wait. Once you are level 15, you’ll pick up a new quest called Mechanical Menace, and a new radio frequency, a distress call from a Caravan that is under attack by robots.

Then you’ll need to head to the site of the distress call, just north of Monsignor plaza and shoot all of the hostile robots. Try to avoid shooting the non-hostile robot, Ada, if you can, as she’s kind of important.

Ada wants your help in tracking down The Mechanist, a mysterious robot-themed villain who is suddenly flooding the Commonwealth with his murderbots, and so the two of you are going to team up to try and find out where he is, so you can teach him a lesson, Fallout-style.

You will now also be able to build your own robots once you’ve made yourself a robot workbench, so be sure to pick up any cool looking robot parts you find lying around, so you can glue them to your inevitable robot monstrosity.
