Petrifying Plumbers is an FNF mod primarily based on Greenlight's YouTube analog horror series The Power Star Archives. If you haven't watched the original series yet, I highly recommend checking it out first because many of the references and characters come directly from it. Also we got a Mario & Luigi YTP song, a song inspired by GAME.BPS – a SMW HORROR ROM HACK. That said, this mod isn't a direct adaptation. A lot of the events have been changed and aren't canon to the original story, giving the mod its own unique take on the Power Star Archives universe. The project is planned to release in multiple waves called Floors, and today we're playing Floor 1, which includes the first part of the story along with five songs and a fully playable overworld hub.

The story begins with Boyfriend and Girlfriend receiving a mysterious Mario fangame from an anonymous user online. What starts as a normal gaming session quickly turns into a nightmare as they're trapped inside the game by Buggy, the AI behind the Power Star Project. To escape, they'll have to explore the different floors of Peach's Castle, collect Power Stars, unlock new areas and uncover the truth behind what's happening. Along the way you'll encounter references to The Power Star Archives as well as other Mario horror fan projects including BF.hx, GAME ROM Hack, Game.bps, Wario Apparition and more, all blended together into one surprisingly cohesive adventure.

In this video I'll be playing through the entire Floor 1 update while explaining the story behind every song, comparing scenes with the original Power Star Archives episodes and pointing out where the mod changes or expands on the source material. I really like how much effort went into combining so many different Mario horror projects while still making everything feel connected. The atmosphere is great, the overworld exploration is a lot of fun and it's clear this is only the beginning. I'm really looking forward to seeing what the future Floors have in store because this has the potential to become one of the coolest Mario horror FNF mods out there.
