The official Friday Night Funkin update is finally here and it came completely out of nowhere. This update may not be massive in terms of raw content, but it is easily one of the most surprising and exciting official drops we have gotten in a long time. From unexpected collaborations to brand new designs, this update feels like a big signal that FNF is slowly but surely moving forward again.

The biggest highlight is the official collaboration with Rift of the NecroDancer, featuring a brand new song and crossover trailer. On top of that, there is an insane K-pop collaboration with LE SSERAFIM and J-Hope from BTS, something nobody saw coming. Seeing an indie rhythm game like FNF cross over with huge music artists is wild, and it honestly shows how far the game’s influence has reached.

We also got brand new Boyfriend and Girlfriend designs, and for the first time ever, they actually speak. It is a small detail, but it feels huge for longtime fans who have been following the game since the early days. Their new looks feel more polished while still keeping the classic FNF charm intact.
