Gamers are a group that routinely come under fire from politicians, both to the right, and the left of the aisle. With a misguided and enduring attempt at smearing the industry, a narrative resurfaces time, and time again that gaming content will impact real world decision making.

That claim is false on every conceivable scientific level based on the data we have and though it is absolutely hyperbolic to say "Gamers are the most oppressed class"... there is an atmosphere of undeserved persecution in the video game space based almost exclusively on manufactured connections to real world issues.
