In this snippet from Podcast Beyond Episode 931, NOTE: Since we recorded this, Highguard’s concurrent players on Steam took a massive dip, plummeting from a decent 90k down to 17k, which is a sizable dropoff. That said, the discussion around how much live-service games can change since launch still applies, and Wildlight Entertainment has a lengthy roadmap planned for Highguard’s post-launch content… but will it be enough to attract a substantial enough player base to justify its development?
