Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is an action-adventure stealth video game developed by Kojima Productions and produced by Konami. It is part of a sub-series of prequels in the Metal Gear series, taking place after Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. Ground Zeroes will stand alone as the first part to Metal Gear Solid V, acting as the prologue for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The game follows Big Boss' infiltration in American black site on Cuban soil called Camp Omega for the extraction of both Cipher agent Pacifica Ocean and Sandinista child soldier Ricardo "Chico" Valenciano Libre. Set in 1975, sometime after the events of Peace Walker, players control returning protagonist Big Boss (Kiefer Sutherland) as he works with Militaires Sans Frontières to infiltrate an American black site on Cuban soil called Camp Omega. His main objectives are the extraction of Cipher agent Pacifica Ocean (Tara Strong) and Sandinista child soldier Ricardo "Chico" Valenciano Libre (Antony Del Rio), who were both involved in the events of Peace Walker. Sometime during his mission, MSF's mother base is attacked by a shadowy organization known as XOF, led by a heavily scarred man named Skull Face (James Horan). Big Boss succeeds in rescuing both Chico and Paz and has his team removing a bomb placed inside the latter's body. Meanwhile, Mother Base is being inspected for nuclear weapons. Upon arriving at Mother Base, they see that it is under attack by XOF forces. Big Boss finds Miller and they leave on helicopter. Paz says that she has a second bomb inside her, and jumps from the helicopter to as she explodes. The explosion hits Big Boss, and another helicopter is shown crashing into the helicopter that he is in, causing Big Boss' coma.
