Prey: 5 Times Prey Was Dead Space Meets Dishonored

Prey, set in the year 2035, sees hero Morgan Yu face psychological sci-fi horror aboard a beautifully realised space station. To us, it feels like a mix of Dead Space and Dishonored, for the following reasons.

Prey, the upcoming first person shooter from Arkane Studios and Bethesda is set on an abandoned space station called Talos 1 that has been overrun by scuttling monsters, and features unusual powers that can be chained together to make sure that hero Morgan Yu doesn’t end up as dinner for those same scuttling monsters.

Those are just a few of the ways in which Prey feels like a mix of Dead Space and Dishonored.

Prey also allows you to don a spacesuit and head outside the space station, moving through space to access previously unreachable parts of Talos 1, just like in Dead Space. And the game’s powers, known as ‘neuromods’ are administered via a needle through the eye, just like a part of Dead Space 2 that you might remember we found quite stressful (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZLl2x7eOXo).
