Resident Evil 7 Beginning Hour - Midnight Update Gameplay

Resident Evil 7's Beginning Hour demo over on PS4 has received another update, bringing with it a new area, the basement. And as you'd expect from a horror game, things go brilliantly when you go into the basement. This is apparently the final update to the PlayStation demo before the game arrives on January 24th but should give us Xbox players a good idea of the sort of thing to expect when the full game arrives. What's most disconcerting is that this new version rearranges some of the scares, so even if you've already played the Beginning Hour demo, you will continue to be on edge throughout.

Any good news? Well, this new update adds combat for the first time to the Resident Evil 7 demo. Perhaps you'll feel a little more secure with a handgun in your mitt. And rumour has it there's finally a solution to the Dummy Finger puzzle hidden in there.

Resident Evil 7 comes out on Xbox One, Playstation 4, PSVR and PC on January 24th.
