It seems like Gabriel Krafft from Vanguard Zombies could possibly return in Treyarch's next Call of Duty game in some form considering Black Ops Cold War Zombies setup his inevitable death that didn't end up being executed in Call of Duty Vanguard for whatever reason. Could this just be a mistake or a loose end resulting from budget constraints? We're yet to know... but what's certain is it is currently a mystery...
