Show of the Week: 4 Crucial Assassin's Creed Details Tucked Away in Assassin's Creed Embers

Assassin's Creed: Chronicles flattens the stabby open-world action you love onto sidescrolling 2.5D. The first of its three chapters stars Shao Jun, a young Chinese assassin you should remember from Assassin's Creed: Embers, a short animated film that came with collector's editions of Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Haha, only kidding, we know you didn't watch it.

If you didn't watch Assassin's Creed: Embers, you missed a few juicy Assassin's Creed details tucked away in the semi-obscure 2011 animated vignette, not least the introduction of Chronicles' Shao Jun and a mysterious box that would crop up again in Assassin's Creed: Rogue and Assassin's Creed 4 DLC Freedom Cry.
