It's the final Show of the Week in 2017 and we're feeling all festive. We're also looking forward to the videogames coming in 2018 and we've identified 5 themes we reckon are going to be the new hotness over the next 12 months. We reckon there'll be a ton of identifiable themes in the games landing in the next year or so. Battle Royale is the obvious one, with PUBG and Fortnite Battle Royale dominating the gaming landscape right now, expect a Battle Royale mode clumsily shoehorned into all the biggest games: Call of Duty, Battlefield and, we're secretly hoping, FIFA.

You can also expect a surge in daddy-daughter relationships in videogames, both good and bad. Good in the protective, surrogate father role that Joel takes in Last of Us 2, bad in the unpleasant domestic violence of Detroit: Beyond Human.

Whether we're right or wrong about the upcoming year, there are some brilliant games scheduled for the first half of the year, so we have a chat about those as well.
