Head beneath the surface and expand your colony into caves and lava tubes. The Surviving Mars: Below and Beyond DLC lets players construct rocket-propelled buildings to mine resources, including exotic minerals and data samples, on passing asteroids. That said, you'll need to make it back to the Red Planet's surface before the asteroid leaves orbit to avoid losing your hard-earned items and colonists. In addition, the Recon and Expansion research trees now unlock additional locales, buildings, vehicles, and upgrades.

Surviving Mars: Below and Beyond DLC is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
