Resident Evil 7 is nearly here, and despite its new first person perspective, it promises to take the series back to its horror roots. We’ve played a good chunk of the game, and here are the seven scariest things we’ve seen so far. Subscribe for more Resi 7! http://www.tinyurl.com/SubToOxbox
Number one on the list is undoubtedly Jack Baker, patriarch of the sinister Baker family and the guy who is going to spend a good portion of the early part of the game absolutely ruining your life.
Jack is constantly searching for you so he can introduce you to that spade he’s carrying around, but unlike, say, the Alien in Alien Isolation, once he spots you, you can still get away, as he never moves at more than a casual stroll.
This is somehow worse, however, as you often find yourself hiding, praying he’ll go away, only to hear his footsteps and angry yelling getting closer, or run into a dead end and realise that the only way out is past Jack. Terrifying.
Are you looking forward to the game? Is this the right way to take the series back to its roots? Let us know what you think in the comments.
