The Corporate Carnival of Pandering

Corporate initiatives to capitalize on consumer energy are not new... but it feels as if they have begun to grow exponentially in these past few years.

Commercialization is not support, and character/product branding has become less and less about consistency to a point where celebrations or moments in history that should feel meaningful, can become cheapened by the shameless pandering.

I don't know if any real solution exists, but at the very least we as buyers should be aware of how the cycle operates.
