As meta officially terminates their "Fact Checking" initiatives in advance of a new administration, the tide seems to be turning on a weaponized industry that has been responsible for heavy amounts of biased "corrections", while avoiding any semblance of accountability.

Organizations like Snopes, and other "Fact Checking" businesses are now being subjected to proper scrutiny, after being allowed to operate as black box arbiters of truth, when they had no actual right to be doing so. Hopefully the cultural and political bias in the industry of "Fact Checking" can be dismantled and remade.
