Very rarely am I legitimately surprised - in a good way - when I play a video game. Typically I go in with certain expectations, and then they're ultimately never met. However, with Punishing Gray Raven, one of Japan's latest Anime JRPGs, I can happily claim the opposite. I have played the game for over 10 hours over the last several days, and have probably had more fun in this game than almost any other mobile RPG or mobile MMO up until this point. Not only is Punishing Gray Raven one of the most beautiful games I've seen on the platform, but the fluidity of the game, the depth of the systems and.. everything about it are such a substantial improvement on the genre.
