Aion is a fantastic PvP MMORPG. And even more, Aion back in the day (specifically, Aion Classic) was one of the greatest MMOs of this generation. When NCSoft announced we'd be receiving a faithful incarnation of the once popular MMO, players were ecstatic. Myself included. This was our chance to relive the glory days of one of the best MMORPGs of the last decade. Alas, NCSoft, being NCSoft managed to anger quite a large majority of the playerbase, leaving players with no choice other than to abandon Aion Classic faster than any other MMO in recent memory. This was an absolute disaster of epic proportions.

Now should you play Aion Classic? That's a very good question. While at one point it was one of the best MMORPG games, it no longer holds that title. Yes, it's a free MMORPG, and as far as free MMOs go, this is one of the better ones out there, I do still urge you to be cautious and taper your expectations if you try Aion Classic out, especially the live version of Aion.
