Where Winds Meet is a free to play open world wuxia fantasy game that I’ve covered numerous times on this channel since It initially launched globally at the end of 2025, If you’re unfamiliar with the game it’s known for it’s extremely fun combat, content rich open world, epic boss fights as well having a fair non pay to win business model, Where Winds Meet is one of my favorite games to frequently revisit whenever there’s a new season or big content update and recently that’s exactly what we’ve had, The world has expanded significantly with the new zone of Hexi which contains two areas that are complete polar opposites, first you’ve got the desert region called jade gate pass, here you’ll traverse shifting sands, battling bird monsters, exploring floating ship wrecks and speeding around on the desert highway with your new fish mount, Then you’ve got the snowy region of Liangzhou town featuring floating islands, interesting traversal mechanics and the ability to explore both past and future versions of the region, both of which are vastly different.
These new areas also bring unique puzzles, oddity collections, questlines, campaign bosses and world bosses some of which are genuinely challenging, due to these zones being inherently designed with unique traversal mechanics in mind you are unable to use the full extent of your lightness skills here like in previous zones regardless of your reputation level, aside from that the new region has also brought new weapons into the game in the form of the heng blade and mo blade, these weapons are so good I fully rerolled by build to use them and have no plans on changing any time soon.

In this video I’ll be checking out the new update for the first time, killing all of the new bosses, exploring the new zones and giving you a solid overview of what to expect from Where Winds Meet in April 2026.
