Back in 2019, I covered a situation where a youtuber (marcostyle) had been been hacked. His channel was stolen, sold on the dark web, and repurposed into a scam livestream promoter, impersonating the Crypto figure "Brad Garlinghouse".

After over a week, YouTube finally intervened, but the same situation has been unfolding on dozens of other channels, for years, without recourse. Today I want to dive in and look at how this happens, what they are doing, and warn everyone about the hidden threat of hijacked channels on Youtube.
