What does spending real money get you in Dragon Age: Inquisition's multiplayer store? We open loot chests so you don't have to in this Dragon Age: Inquisition gameplay on Xbox One. Microtransactions ahoy!
In Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer, consumables such as health potions and treasure chests of randomised loot can be purchased with platinum bought with real money or with in-game currency earned by playing Dragon Age: Inquisition's co-op multiplayer mode.
The first time you visit the multiplayer store you receive a free chest of randomised potions and items to give you a taste. A medium chest costs 725 coins or 150 platinum; bundles of platinum are sold in the store, ranging from £2.39 for 300 platinum to £39.99 for 5600 platinum.
The loot in a chest bought from the store contains a few potions and a few pieces of equipment of varying quality, including ten-a-penny Fereldan longswords and occasional rare items, such as the flaming, scythe-style mindleech staff in the video above. (A medium chest contains three potions and three items.)
Duplicate or rubbish items can be 'salvaged' for crafting materials, which can be used to create new gear and upgrades for your multiplater characters with schematics in the multiplayer suite.
At time of recording, there was no-one available with whom to play Dragon Age: Inquisition multiplayer, so please excuse the lack of actual multiplayer action this time, but thanks for watching and join us for more Dragon Age: Inquisition as the release date approaches (November 18 in the US, November 21 in Europe).
