Lego Marvel's Avengers retells the story of the first two Avengers movies, mixing in story elements from the first two Captain America films, Thor: The Dark World and Iron Man 3.

The game puts the Lego spin on the Marvel movies with the traditional brick-smashing, stud-collecting gameplay of the Lego games.

You play alone, or in co-op, as the Avengers A-team or any of a cast of over two hundred Marvel characters.

The game begins with the introductory sequence from Age of Ultron, set in frosty, fictional Sokovia, and starts by pairing Hawkeye and Black Widow, Thor and Captain America, and Hulk and Iron Man, in a linear-style level, before the game opens out into its more open-world hub levels.

Each Avenger has their signature powers interpreted for Lego gameplay, and Tony gets this nifty HUD face cam from which to select one of his 13 Iron Man suits. His 14th suit, by the way, is the chunky Hulkbuster armour, which makes its appearance only in Manhattan.

New to Lego Marvel Avengers, since the previous Lego Marvel Super Heroes game, are double team moves, in which the Avengers spirit of cooperation is represented by special combo moves unique to each particular pairing of heroes.
