Path Of Exile 2 is a game that I absolutely loved when it first came to Steam Early Access at the end of 2024, back then I was someone who never really got into POE1 due to finding the game a bit confusing as a new player but POE2 I found to be much more accessible, intuitive and I preferred the WASD movement controls with the dodge roll.
Since then the game has had A LOT of updates, multiple seasons have passed, the endgame has a complete rework, new classes were added, new gems, skill tree rework, act 4 was added and honestly it’s just too much stuff to list.
Now as much as I enjoyed POE2 at launch and have been meaning to jump into previous seasons, for whatever reason I could never find the time to put in enough hours but with Patch 0.5 Return Of The Ancients I was finally able to blast my way to the end game to see how the game’s improved since launch.
In this video you’ll get my first impressions of POE2 in 2026 as someone who hasn’t played since launch and at the end I’ll list all the things that I liked and disliked about the game in its current state.
