As a launch title, Forza Motorsport 5 did its job. It was visually stunning and rattled along at 1080p and 60 frames per second. But as a Forza game it was a bit of a disappointment; a directionless career mode and some bizarre handling quirks made it difficult to love. Forza Motorsport 6 fixes all that and, even better, adds Showcase events that highlight the very best the game has to offer.

Taking inspiration from automotive history, real-life motorsport and Top Gear, Showcase events are the most dramatic, spectacular new thing in Forza Motorsport 6. This is the game Forza 5 should have been two years ago and it's absolutely a return to form for the series.
